The cover is better than the exposed oven. It has a dual heating unit above and below pizza tray. Beware it is difficult to remove the hot pizza from the oven! I now use pot holder mitts to remove the whole tray and slide the pizza in to another tray. When using dual heat I usualy end up burning the bottom a little. You have to adjust the time to figure out how you want the pizza to be cooked. 7-8 minutes per the pizza's thickness.

We love the pizza we make with this product. The only drawback is they seem to go out fairly quickly. We are on our 4th unit in 2 years and have taken to buying a backup knowing it could die at any time. Every time it stops working suddenly as if a fuse has blown, but we can't find any way to repair it. Because it works so well we will probably keep buying replacements. If anyone know how to repair it we would be so grateful...

The pizza I make in here is awsome, I takes about 10 minutes or less, I have broiled fish in it, and made garlic toast. I will work on some desserts soon. I already have one I use and bought another one in case something happens to my other one.
